Java Developer
Applications are invited for the position of Software Engineer based at Shenick Network Systems' headquarters in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin. In this role, the successful candidate will work with Shenick's Server side Engineering team developing for Shenick's highly acclaimed and award winning product, diversifEye.
diversifEye determines the key quality and performance limitations associated with the deployment of next generation voice, video and data applications and helps the world's largest companies develop and deploy associated services with confidence.
This role provides the opportunity to participate in the implementation of a complex server application utilised in testing multi-service IP networks. It will provide substantial experience in the design and implementation of cutting-edge server applications.
Description of role:
 | Develop best-in-class server applications for diversifEye. |
| Work independently or as part of a team within the engineering group to meet the goals of the engineering team. |
| Interact with QA team to ensure that Shenick's reputation for excellence is maintained. |
| Best suited to applicants with 2-3 years of experience developing Java applications and looking to develop their skill set while contributing to a world-leading software solution. |
Requirements:
| Excellent development skills. |
| Minimum 2 years experience in developing complex Java applications. |
| Experience in Design Patterns, Java Beans and other Java innovations. |
| Knowledge of network protocols, particularly TCP/IP, would be an advantage. |
| Experience of working in a team, adhering to team practices and coding standards to produce robust and maintainable software solutions. |
| Self-motivator with an analytical mind to solve complex problems. |
| Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. Fluent English required. |
| Educated to degree level in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. |

Sales Support Engineer / Pre-Sales Consultant
Applications are invited for the position of Sales Support Engineer / Pre-Sales Consultant based in the Greater San Jose area, California, United States.
The successful candidate will work with Shenick's Sales team providing pre-and post-sales support for Shenick's award-winning product, diversifEye. This role will involve traveling to and interacting directly with customers.
The main focus of the role is for diversifEye pre-sales, an IP test and measurement system, which is designed to emulate multimedia Internet application traffic and provide per-flow metrics to highlight network performance bottlenecks.
Sales Engineer activities include delivering presentations and demonstrations to articulate features and differentiators of Shenick’s products, working with customers to demonstrate and evaluate the product line, setup test equipment and develop test plans with the interpretation of results and building solid relationships with customers. This position also has a responsibility for the pre-sales to post-sales transition process.
Responsibilities:
| To work as part of the sales engineering team, focused on the support of Shenick's customers by phone, email and other methods. |
| To support Shenick's field sales team in advance of customer meetings, demonstrations, evaluations, trade shows, etc. such as developing scenarios that clearly demonstrates the power of Shenick's diversifEye product. |
| To support on-site Customer Evaluations and Demonstrations. |
| To speedily, courteously and efficiently help Shenick's customers in the identification of issues and to provide work-arounds, fixes, patches, etc. when necessary. |
| To Interact with Engineering and QA to identify scenarios clearly to help them identify and fix issues that have been raised by customers or at customer sites. |
Skills:
The successful candidate requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, must have 5-8 years relevant experience in the data networking industry and be proficient in most of the following :
| IP Network Performance and associated metrics |
| Networking with Unicast and Multicast over TCP/UDP/IP |
| Voice over IP |
| Firewalls, Security Systems and Encryption Schemes |
| Video Transmission Systems |
| Data Applications (EMAIL, HTTP,etc) |
| Linux Scripting Languages (Python, Perl, tshark, etc) |

Technical Marketing Manager
Applications are invited for the position of Technical Marketing Manager based at Shenick Network Systems headquarters in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin. In this role, the successful candidate will work with Shenick's Sales and Marketing team promoting Shenick's highly acclaimed and award winning diversifEye™ product portfolio.
Shenick's diversifEye determines the key quality and performance limitations associated with the deployment of internet video, IP voice and data applications. diversifEye is used by the world's leading service providers and equipment vendors to develop and deploy new services and products with confidence.
This a new appointment within Shenick. The position is ideally suited to an experienced, hands-on technical marketing professional.
Job Description:
| Interface with product marketing, product management, engineering and sales teams to build product awareness through development of value add sales tools. Develop product collateral, customer web portal and online video/web presence, social media and application whitepapers etc. |
| Support the execution of lead generation campaigns, through key initiatives such as social networking and attendance at industry events. |
| Organization and delivery of key account promotional events and product demonstrations located at customer sites. |
| Support external PR contractors, assisting with marcom campaigns, supporting contributions to industry publications. |
| Participate in customer pre-sales calls: in person/WebEx/Conference calls, upon request by Sales. |
| Occasional support for post-sales training events. |
Required Skills:
The candidate must be proficient in most of the following :
| Practical experience in IP networking and/or other IT related technologies. |
| Excellent written and verbal communication skills. |
| Comfortable presenting to large groups. |
| Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. |
| Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and HTML tools is a plus though not essential. |
Required Experience:
| Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science/Electronic Engineering or Marketing degree with proven hands-on experience within the technology industry. |
| Minimum of three (3) years hands-on technical marketing experience ideally in IP communications networking industry. |
